Why I Wrote Get Grounded — Because I Needed to Come Home to Myself

I didn’t write Get Grounded because I had all the answers. I wrote it because I didn’t. I was in a season of my life where everything looked “fine” from the outside. I was hitting goals, showing up, and doing what I thought I was supposed to do. But inside? I felt disconnected. Not in a dramatic, fall-apart kind of way, but in a slow, subtle unraveling that left me questioning where my joy, clarity, and sense of direction had gone.

It felt like I’d lost my inner compass.

During that time, I was working with my career coach Danielle, who said something I’ll never forget: “You're very smart Arminé. Your inner wisdom just needs to be dusted and polished.” That line hit me right in the heart. Because she was right. I hadn’t lost my wisdom. It had just been buried. Buried under pressure, busyness, other people’s expectations, and my own need to always “figure it out.”

So I did what I know how to do when I need to process: I wrote. I didn’t set out to write another self-help book (in fact, I actively wanted to avoid adding more noise to the space). What I craved and what I knew so many other women were craving too was a clear, honest, grounded path. Especially for those of us navigating transitions or high-pressure environments, who don’t need more advice or quick fixes. We need space to reconnect with our values, clarity, and voice.

Get Grounded became that space.

This book isn’t a rulebook. It’s not filled with trendy hacks or a step-by-step formula to become your “best self.” (If you want that, read my blog on the 5 Books About Finding Yourself.) Instead, Get Grounded is a reminder. A reminder that you already have what you need—you just may need time and stillness to hear it again. It’s about realignment, not reinvention. And it’s a companion for the moments in life when you start to feel unsteady, unsure, or like you’ve lost touch with who you really are.

If I’m honest, I didn’t just write Get Grounded for others—I wrote it for myself. I needed it. I needed a way back to me. And now, my hope is that it serves as a compass for you too.

Because you’re not alone.

If you’re in a season where you’re questioning things, feeling out of sync, or quietly asking yourself, “What’s next?”—I see you. You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re just being called inward. And that call? That’s where the magic begins.

Get Grounded is your invitation to pause, reflect, and remember. To come back to your core. To make decisions from alignment instead of obligation. To walk through transitions without losing yourself in the process.

This guidebook was born out of a need for clarity, courage, and connection. And if any part of this resonates with where you are right now, I hope you’ll give yourself the gift of exploring it. Not because you need fixing, but because your inner wisdom is already there, waiting to shine again.

Let’s GET GROUNDED together.
