When Was the Last Time You Really Let Go?

When Was the Last Time You Really Let Go?

When was the last time you planned a day (or night) with zero rules, zero restrictions, and one clear mission—to just have fun?

For me, it was this past Tuesday, August 12th. My partner and I went to the Gracie Abrams concert at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and for a few blissful hours, the rest of the world faded away.

Here’s the thing I adore about concerts—they pull you out of your head and into the moment. The music takes over, the atmosphere wraps around you, the energy of the crowd lifts you higher. You start to notice things you normally wouldn’t: the way the stage lights paint the night sky, the artistic creativity poured into every note, the seamless teamwork happening behind the scenes.

Because that’s the thing—while Gracie Abrams was on stage having the time of her life, I know a tour like hers doesn’t just happen. It takes grit. Determination. Relentless planning, endless rehearsals, hours of training, and a team that’s all-in. You can’t go far without the right people beside you.

And that night, I had mine.

We kissed. We held hands. We smiled like teenagers. For a few hours, we were free—no schedules, no deadlines, no responsibilities pressing in. Just us, music, and the open Colorado sky.

It hit me: life is too short to stay stuck in the cycle.
You have to step away from the grind sometimes.
Ground yourself. Trust yourself. Trust your people.
The world is far too beautiful to forget to notice it.

So when was the last time you let yourself have that kind of night?
The kind where you walk away lighter.
The kind that reminds you—this is what living feels like.
