The Power of Cross-Generational Mentorship: Why We Rise Higher Together

The Power of Cross-Generational Mentorship: Why We Rise Higher Together

At 38, I’ve come to understand something that’s shaped how I live, how I lead, and how I love: we are not meant to grow alone.

Some of the most important people in my life today aren’t just peers—they are younger women looking for guidance, and older women who have walked paths I’ve yet to tread. My circle spans generations, and I believe that is one of my greatest advantages in life.

I’ve always valued relationships across ages—not because I’m trying to “teach” or “be taught”—but because mentorship is a two-way exchange. I might offer insight to someone in their twenties who’s navigating their first real job, first heartbreak, or first spiritual awakening. But in return, they offer me perspective, boldness, and a fresh look at life that reminds me of my own power.

On the other side, I lean into the wisdom of those older than me—women who’ve experienced seasons I haven’t yet lived. They carry stories, scars, and strength that you can’t find in a textbook or a podcast. They teach me patience. They remind me to zoom out when life feels heavy. They help me root deeper.

This intergenerational energy is sacred. It’s where empathy is built. Where guidance meets growth. And it’s the energy I’ve infused into my book, Get Grounded: Your Compass Through Transitions and Growth.

Get Grounded Isn’t Just a Book—It’s a Bridge

Get Grounded was born from my own experience of feeling lost in transition, disconnected from myself, and unsure where to turn. But it also came from the healing power of mentorship—being seen, challenged, and supported by women of all ages and walks of life.

That’s what this book is designed to do:
To reconnect you not only with yourself, but also with the right community around you—whether that’s through fitness, church, volunteering, or simply walking your neighborhood with intention.

The truth is, when we’re grounded in who we are, we attract people who mirror our truth.
And that’s when real mentorship starts. The kind that transforms your trajectory.

We Lead With Excellence and Love

My motto, lead with excellence and love, isn’t just something I say, it’s how I live. I believe we are here to make an impact. To stretch our hands backward and forward. To share what we’ve learned, and stay open to learning more.

If you’ve ever wished for a wiser guide in your life—or wished you had someone to pour into—this is your sign: you can be both.
You can teach and be taught.
You can lead and still learn.
You can be strong and still ask for support.

Get Grounded is the first step in that journey. It’s an eight-week mindset coaching guide that helps you declutter your mind, reset your focus, and get back in alignment with your purpose. It was written to meet you right where you are whether you’re just starting out or starting over.

Mentorship Is the Legacy

What I know for sure is that no amount of success matters if we’re not using it to lift others. This is why I’m so committed to cross-generational mentorship. Why I spend time with younger friends. Why I seek counsel from older ones. Why I wrote this book.
Because legacy isn’t about being remembered—it’s about making a difference while we’re here.

If you feel the pull to realign, reconnect, and rise—Get Grounded is for you.

Let’s build something that lasts. Together.
