Travel can easily pull us out of alignment. Between packed schedules, unfamiliar foods, and long flights, even the most meaningful trips can leave us feeling off-center.
How to Stay Grounded When You’re Traveling
I travel often for work, for inspiration, and for connection. Over time, I’ve learned that staying grounded on the go isn’t just about routine, it’s about presence and impact. When I travel for work, I want to show up as my full self whether I’m speaking at an event, attending a wedding, or leading a workshop across the country.
Traveling with my girlfriend has also become one of my favorite ways to strengthen our relationship. Whether we’re exploring together or I’m supporting her during her own work trips, staying grounded helps me be fully present for myself and for her.
Here’s how I stay grounded when I travel, no matter where I’m headed.

1. I Always Pack My Book Get Grounded
This may sound obvious, but Get Grounded isn’t just something I wrote—it’s a tool I use. When I’m in a different environment, it helps to reconnect with the practices, reflections, and mindset that remind me of who I am and what matters most.
Even 10 minutes of journaling or flipping to a chapter that speaks to my current moment brings me back to my center.
2. Magic Mind Is My Non-Negotiable
While others are tossing espresso shots or energy drinks into their carry-ons, I reach for Magic Mind. It’s part of my brain-care ritual. Whether I’m navigating time zones or managing back-to-back meetings, it helps me stay clear, creative, and focused without the crash.
It’s small, but powerful. A travel essential for sure.

3. I Bring My Workout Clothes—Always
Movement grounds me. Even if it’s just a morning walk, stretching in the hotel room, or a quick 20-minute flow, I feel more connected to my body when I move. And when I’m connected to my body, I make better decisions. I show up with more energy. I breathe deeper.
Working out while traveling isn’t about pressure it’s about presence. It’s my way of creating space for myself amidst everything else going on.
4. Hydration & Supplements: Non-Negotiables
I don’t leave home without my supplements. Optimal health is the foundation for showing up grounded, and I know my body needs consistency to perform and recover.
Pair that with intentional hydration especially when flying and I can feel the difference. Less fatigue, more focus, and a lot more clarity throughout the day.
5. OSEA Skincare Keeps Me Centered
Travel can do a number on your skin, especially with changing climates and dry airplane air. My OSEA skincare routine is something I stick to wherever I go. It’s not just about looking good, it’s part of my evening wind-down, my reset after a long day, and a reminder that taking care of myself is the foundation of all I do. I love this brand because they are vegan because I am too.
Grounding Is an Intention, Not a Location
You don’t have to be home to feel grounded. You just have to know what brings you back to yourself and commit to it. For me, it’s a mix of mental, physical, and emotional practices. It’s routines that travel with me. And it’s the conscious choice to prioritize how I feel, not just what I’m doing.
So whether you’re hopping on a plane this week, road-tripping for a wedding, or packing for a business retreat, ask yourself: What helps me feel like myself? What do I need to stay present, calm, and clear-headed?
Because your presence is your impact. And staying grounded is how we protect it.
