Feeling Trapped by Fear? Here’s How to Ground Yourself in Love and Purpose
Share
Let’s talk about fear — not the kind that protects you from danger, but the kind that quietly cages you. The kind that sneaks into your relationships, your work, your self-worth. The kind that limits your clarity, your energy, and your joy.
I’ve lived there. I’ve shown up in fear — in my relationship, in my work (sometimes), and in how I speak to myself. And let me tell you: it’s not fun. It’s not empowering. It’s exhausting.
When you live from fear, it’s like walking through life in a fog. Everything feels heavy. You replay conversations. You question your instincts. You brace for judgment. You build stories in your mind that aren’t grounded in truth but in protection. And that protection? It can quickly become a prison.
There were mornings I woke up and could feel that fear lingering in my body — tight chest, spinning thoughts, low energy. I could feel the negative energy I was carrying, and how it projected outward. Fear isn’t silent. It protrudes. It affects how we show up with others, and most importantly, with ourselves.
But here's what changed: I began starting my days differently.
In Get Grounded, I share in Chapter 1 the power of a simple morning affirmation. For me, it was this:
"I’m alive. I have a beating heart. I’m healthy, beautiful, smart, and surrounded by incredible people. I'm in a loving relationship. I'm safe. And everything is going to be okay. Lead from Excellence and Love."
Just that moment — that pause — reminded me of the truth. It pulled me out of the fog and back into the light. It grounded me in love. And when you lead from love, everything shifts.
Now, my mantra is: Lead with excellence and love.
Because when you lead from fear, you block your heart from speaking the truth. Your inner voice becomes murky. And suddenly, even the most beautiful parts of life — a walk in the sun, a deep conversation, a moment of laughter — feel dull.
But when you lead from love, things become clear. You soften. You trust. You allow. And joy? It finds its way back in.
So today, I challenge you:
🌀 Notice where fear is leading.
🌀 Choose one affirmation that speaks to the love and power within you.
🌀 Practice it every morning for the next 7 days.
Let this be your invitation back to clarity, joy, and purpose. You're not here to be caged by fear. You're here to lead with excellence and love.
